For over 36 years, our gift store has been part of Canberra’s gifting landscape — helping locals and visitors find something thoughtful, joyful, and a little unexpected for every occasion.

What began as a small, family-run business Living in Style was created by Wendy Loftus, it has grown and evolved through decades, always guided by the same belief: gifting should feel personal, meaningful, and full of heart. Through changing trends and times, one thing has never shifted — our love for being part of life’s special moments in our local community.

Eight years ago, Meischa Napthali took the helm and renamed this beloved gift store,  Lilly Cooper was born as the next chapter of our story. A fresh expression of everything we had learned and loved over decades in retail, Lilly Cooper brought together quirky design, joyful gifting, and a sense of fun that reflects the people of Canberra. It quickly became more than a store — it became a place where people come to celebrate birthdays, milestones, friendships, and the everyday “just because” moments that matter most.

At the heart of Lilly Cooper is family. We are proud to be a family-run business that values connection, care, and community above all else. Our team, customers, and suppliers are all part of that extended family — and we are endlessly grateful for the support that has allowed us to grow and thrive.

We also believe in being thoughtful about the impact we leave behind.
